Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing facility as a Millwright Apprentice and kick-start your career in industrial maintenance and mechanical systems. This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience working alongside skilled tradespeople, developing your expertise in machinery installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. You will gain valuable skills in mechanical systems, electrical components, hydraulics, and schematics, setting a strong foundation for a future as a certified Millwright. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities Assist in the installation, alignment, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment and machinery using precision measuring instruments and schematics. Support troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems across the facility. Operate and maintain tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, low voltage testers, and other diagnostic instruments to analyze system performance. Participate in preventive maintenance tasks to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely. Learn to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals related to industrial equipment. Support safety procedures including working at heights with scissor lifts or other elevated platforms, adhering to all safety protocols. Collaborate with team members on field service tasks involving hydraulic systems, welding (including <
LOCATION
> welding), and low voltage electrical work. Skills Basic understanding of manufacturing facility operations and industrial maintenance practices. Knowledge of welding techniques. Ability to work at heights. Mechanical knowledge gained through industrial mechanic experience or military training is highly valued. Ability to read technical schematics and perform analysis using precision measuring instruments. Customer service orientation with strong communication skills in English; capable of working effectively in team environments including field service settings.
