Job Title:
Millwright Foreman (Agricultural) Job Summary The Millwright Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of millwrights involved in the installation, maintenance and repair of grain, feed and fertilizer material handling equipment and structures. This role ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with company standards, and specifications. Key Responsibilities Supervise, lead, and coordinate daily activities of millwrights and assigned crews Plan, schedule, and assign work based on project priorities and workforce capabilities Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals Oversee installation, alignment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery (belt conveyors, drag conveyors, bucket elevators, screw augers, etc.) Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, company policies, and job site requirements Conduct job safety analyses (JSAs) and enforce lockout/tagout and other safety procedures Monitor work quality and productivity; provide guidance and corrective actions as needed Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth operations Maintain accurate records including work orders, timekeeping, materials usage, and inspections Train, mentor, and evaluate millwright personnel; support skills development and certifications Assist with estimating labor, materials, and equipment for projects and shutdowns Respond to emergency repairs and downtime situations as required Job Requirements & Experience Experience as a Millwright Foreman or Superintendent is a requirement. Experience assembling and erecting steel towers and bridges is a requirement. Experience assembling and installing material handling equipment is a requirement. Experience in the agricultural industry (grain, feed and/or fertilizer) is a requirement. Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot material handling equipment (conveyors, bucket elevators, etc.) is required. Must poses and maintain a valid driver's license and hold or be able to obtain a CDL certification. Ability to travel with overnights, as needed, depending on project locations in the Midwest. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb ladders and/or stairs 200+ feet. Must not be afraid of heights. Welding experience and/or certification is a plus.
OSHA 10/30
certification is a plus. Experience working with cranes and knowledge of rigging practices is a plus. Rigger's certification is a plus. CDL certification is a plus.
