MILLWRIGHTS AND RIGGERS!
Job Description This role involves performing millwright and rigging work to support the construction and setup of a new manufacturing facility. You will move and install heavy industrial equipment, perform basic pipe and structural welding, and ensure machinery is safely and accurately positioned for operation. The position focuses on hands-on mechanical, rigging, and installation tasks without crane operation responsibilities. Responsibilities Perform millwright and rigging work to support the construction and commissioning of a new manufacturing facility. Move and position heavy industrial equipment such as boilers, compressors, and chilling towers using appropriate rigging techniques and tools. Install machines and production equipment according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment, anchoring, and connection. Use rigging equipment safely and effectively to lift, move, and set equipment without operating cranes. Perform basic pipe welding and structural welding to support equipment installation and structural modifications. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine layout, installation requirements, and rigging plans. Assist with electrical conduit runs and mechanical connections as needed to complete equipment installations. Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems during installation and repair activities. Perform general labor tasks related to construction, equipment handling, and site organization as required. Inspect tools, rigging gear, and equipment for safe operation and report any issues promptly. Collaborate with team members to plan lifts, coordinate installation activities, and maintain a safe work site. Support troubleshooting and basic repair of industrial equipment during and after installation. Essential Skills Hands-on experience with millwright and rigging work in an industrial or construction environment. Proficiency in moving and setting heavy equipment such as boilers, compressors, and chilling towers using proper rigging methods. Ability to install machines and industrial equipment according to technical specifications and layout plans. Basic pipe welding and structural welding skills suitable for equipment installation and structural support. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics for mechanical and installation work. Experience working with mechanical systems, including assembly, alignment, and securing of components. Familiarity with electrical work related to equipment installation, including conduit installation. Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial setting. Capability to perform general labor duties on a construction or industrial site. Strong awareness of safety practices related to rigging, welding, and industrial construction work. Physical ability to handle manual tasks, including lifting, positioning, and working around heavy equipment. Job Details 5 month Contract•New Build Construction Location :

Work Environment This role is based on a new manufacturing facility construction site and follows a schedule of approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., six days per week. You will work in an active industrial environment around heavy equipment, construction activities, and ongoing installations. The work is highly hands-on and physical, involving time both indoors and outdoors depending on project needs. Standard industrial attire and appropriate personal protective equipment are required to perform the work safely. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bishopville, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00- $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
