Job Description
Objective:
Lead the Loadout team to ensure the Loadout plan is safely executed. The lead will be responsible for accurate loading and paperwork documentation, as well as taking calls when the Supervisor or manager is unavailable and able to report to work in all emergency situations. Essential job functions Maintain work areas in accordance with safety policy and procedures, promoting safe work habits for all employees. Assist in developing and updating SOPs for all Shipping & Receiving Departments. Responsible for cross-checking all retained samples with vessels loaded to ensure all samples are accounted for. Responsible for day-to-day coordination of loading, cleaning, and training schedules. Responsible for assisting in the training of all new employees Responsible for functional training on all equipment, including all rail movers, Loadout equipment, and computer systems. Lead the Loadout team with a positive attitude and strict observance of ethical behavior. Participate in monthly training classes as required on environmental, health and safety. Foster a culture of safe work behavior. Work in an honest and ethical manner while maintaining confidentially on all business related matters. Physically reports to work on time and is seldom absent. Maintain a team environment with other departments at all times. Maintain a high level of customer service and a friendly atmosphere. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Follow all company policies and procedures. Work extended hours or additional overtime as needed to meet business demands. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Technical High school diploma Must possess the ability to communicate both verbally and written. Must possess the ability to train employees and support staff as required Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Previous experience in grain handling and scheduling logistics. Physical Ability to frequently climb stairs, bend, squat, kneel, sit, stand, walk, handle objects, reach above shoulder level, and push/pull. Ability to work in all extreme weather conditions Ability to frequently carry/lift light to moderate loads of 25-50 lbs. and occasionally carry/lift heavy loads over 50 lbs. Working Conditions Exposed to excessive noise Works around moving machinery Exposed to marked changes in temperature Exposed to dust and fumes Drives motorized equipment Work on or around high structures Occasionally works in confined quarters Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
