Responsibilities of a Diesel Mechanic entail: Utilizing your fundamental repair and maintenance techniques. Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, fluid checks, and component replacements under limited supervision. Perform pre-delivery inspections on vehicles or equipment to ensure readiness. Perform DOT annual inspections with out supervision. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper tool care and safety procedures. Participate in training programs and workshops to develop knowledge of diesel systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures. Assist with recordkeeping and documentation of work performed. J&A Fleet provides a comprehensive wage and benefits package that includes: Boot reimbursement at $150 annually Prescription safety glasses up to $175 annually Tool assistance program Paid holidays and PTO Choice between 3 wide-ranging medical plans with prescription coverage Option to participate in HSA or FSA savings accounts Access to dental and vision insurance Short- and long-term disability coverage Company paid life insurance, Requirements The requirements to be a Diesel Mechanic for J&A Fleet include: Must be at least 25 years old (insurance requirements) High School diploma or GED required Must have and maintain a valid driver's license Ability to obtain a NON-Commercial Driver's License (Class C/For Hire) and DOT medical card Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 120 pounds Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality Maintain professional appearance and attitude Willingness and ability to complete training in a timely manner

Pay:

$28.84 - $44.00 per hour
