Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy trucks and automotive vehicles on-site at various locations. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery and showcase your mechanical knowledge in a fast-paced environment. Your hands-on skills and proactive approach will keep our fleet and equipment in top condition, driving success across multiple projects. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy semi-trucks of all makes and models roadside or on site at Kechi Location. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and hydraulic system servicing to prevent breakdowns on company trucks as well as customer owned trucks. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure proper fit and function. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform electrical repairs involving wiring, sensors, switches, and control modules for industrial and automotive equipment. Test and calibrate machinery alignment, air brake systems, hydraulics, HVAC units, transmissions, shocks & struts to meet safety standards and operational specifications. Assist with assembly or disassembly of equipment for repair or maintenance purposes while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed; communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding work status or issues. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in heavy equipment operation and automotive repair. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems such as Caterpillar or other industrial brands. Proficiency with schematics reading, electrical diagnostics, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and diesel engine repair. Ability to operate various power tools safely and efficiently; experience with welding and soldering is a plus. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including tire service, brake repair, transmission servicing, and alignment techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to lift heavy components safely during repairs. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating forklifts or other industrial vehicles is desirable. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients or team members about repair needs or technical issues.
