Position Overview The Mortgage Loan Officer is responsible for providing high‑quality lending services to customers and prospective customers seeking consumer, installment, and mortgage loans. This role includes evaluating loan requests, managing a loan portfolio, conducting credit investigations, and supporting customers throughout the lending process. The Mortgage Loan Officer works closely with the branch lending team and operates under limited credit authority with guidance from the Branch President. Key Responsibilities Review loan requests, originate loans, and manage an assigned loan portfolio. Conduct credit investigations and analyze borrower financial information. Meet with customers and prospective customers to identify lending needs and recommend appropriate loan products. Collaborate with the lending team to prepare, process, and maintain accurate loan documentation and records. Provide timely, accurate service and resolve customer and internal inquiries in accordance with bank policy. Promote bank products and services, making referrals to other departments as appropriate. Maintain strict confidentiality of customer and bank information. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience Associate degree in Accounting, Business/Ag Management, or a related field. Minimum of two years of lending experience required. Ability to analyze financial statements and assess creditworthiness. Strong customer service skills with the ability to work closely with customers and lending team members. Ability to manage a high volume of work with accuracy and professionalism. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle sensitive or confidential situations.
