Job Description Processor Overview:
Primarily responsible for processing, reviewing and preparing loan documentation for compliance, completeness, and accuracy.Job Functions:
Effectively process and deliver for underwriting review and approval, Conventional, FHA, VA, & USDA and Construction to Perm loans to comply with Agency, Investor and internal guidelines, policies, and procedures. Effectively communicate with borrowers, loan officers, closers, processors and compliance personnel. Meet all required deadlines on the loans in the pipeline Maintain thorough knowledge of agency guidelines, as well as policies and procedures. Demonstrate the ability to review and complete quality assurance checks prior to loan closings. Prepare, review and submit loan file packages to underwriting in a timely manner. Follow up on post close trailing documents if necessary. Ensure quality is uncompromised and that all loan documentation provided is thoroughly analyzed and meets guidelines. Identify red flags within files and ensure each red flag is addressed prior to approval/closing. Review conditions (including suspense, reworks and decline overturns) within the required turn times. Ensure compliance with federal and state lending regulations, including TRID. Provide an additional layer of quality control to ensure that the liability taken on will not result in a non‐salable or uninsurable loan.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Total work experience that includes one to three years as in mortgage banking for Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and Construction to Perm loans Knowledge of overall mortgage lending processes, including closing, funding and post‐closing functions. Knowledge of valid documentation related to the processing consumer mortgage applications (e.g., tax returns, financial statements, and records, verification of income and deposits, etc.). Sound judgment, ability to think critically, including the ability to evaluate facts and data to draw conclusions. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline‐driven environment; strong sense of urgency and responsiveness. Knowledge of federal, state, and regulatory requirements related to consumer mortgage lending, processes and controls. Prior experience using internal data entry systems, Microsoft Word, Excel and PDF/Document Retention programs Experience with Encompass strongly preferred Compliance experience a plus (including, but not limited toTILA, RESPA, ECOA, TRID
