Job Description
We have a charming motel nestled in the Cascade Mountain Range outside of downtown Packwood, dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences. We pride ourselves on maintaining high standards of comfort, safety, and service to all of our guests. We are seeking a proactive and skilled Motel Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to uphold our standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment for our guests while supporting the overall functionality of our property. Conduct regular inspections of the property's electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems to identify issues early and perform necessary repairs. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and other methods to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems efficiently. Diagnose electrical faults and ensure systems are functioning correctly. Perform small appliance repairs, residential painting, plumbing repairs, and other mechanical tasks to maintain building integrity and appearance. Manage facilities maintenance tasks including cleaning, painting, carpentry, and equipment repairs. Work with general manager and other motel staff to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule preventive maintenance. Supervise or assist with subcontractors or team members during complex repairs or renovations. Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Reliability is a must! A self-starter is desired. Someone organized with the ability to identify problems, prioritize work, and effectively make a plan from start to completion. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance. Proficiency with schematics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting tools. Experience with electrical systems troubleshooting. Skilled in residential painting, common plumbing matters, small engine repair, and general repair work. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Supervising experience is preferred for team coordination roles. Leadership qualities with the ability to oversee projects and guide team members as needed.
