Job Title:
Mechatronics & Robotics Technician (MRT) Job Description As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of material handling equipment. Your work will involve preventative maintenance routines, battery changes, and managing work orders. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues. Responsibilities Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment such as conveyors. Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures. Perform battery changes and maintenance on batteries. Enter downtime data in daily logs and complete preventative maintenance sheets. Manage work orders within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Apply electrical knowledge of basic components. Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment. Track and store the department's inventory, including spare parts. Essential Skills At least 2+ years of experience in predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 2+ years of experience in repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls. 2+ years of experience in reading blueprints and electrical schematics. 2+ years of knowledge in electrical and electronic principles. 1+ year of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems. 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial industries. Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Experience with automated conveyor systems and preventative maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot input and output functions of building operations. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Continuous improvement mindset. Willingness to learn and grow within the company. Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety standards. Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college focused on Mechanical or Electrical fields. 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical fields. 2+ years of experience working with PLC-based control systems. All candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift, as positions are available for all shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Rockville, VA.
