• Full-time A well-established operation in Rockville, Virginia is looking to add experienced Diesel Mechanics to their team.

This role focuses on maintaining and repairing a mixed fleet of heavy-duty trucks and heavy equipment , supporting daily operations in a fast-paced environment. This is a shop-based role with opportunity to transition to a field service role if interested, in the future. Ideal for mechanics who can diagnose issues independently and complete repairs from start to finish .

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and construction equipment . Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and moderate to advanced repairs. Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components . Use diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and determine root cause. Complete repairs independently while maintaining quality and efficiency. Document work performed and communicate with operations teams. Support occasional field repairs to keep equipment running.

Qualifications:

3-5+ years of diesel mechanic experience in a fleet, construction, or heavy equipment environment. Comfortable performing repairs beyond basic PMs (diagnostics, component replacement, system troubleshooting). Working knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines . Experience with diagnostic tools/software (JPRO, OEM systems, or similar) is preferred. Ability to troubleshoot issues and follow repairs through to completion. Must have own tools and reliable transportation. Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently.

Compensation & Benefits:

$30.00
