The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to equity andanti-bias educational practices in educational settings.
Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals.8. Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and the like and communicatesthese objectives to students. Helps students to develop individual learning goals andobjectives.9. Develops appropriate instructional materials, activities, & lesson plans, withmodifications and accommodations appropriate for individual students taking intoconsideration cognitive levels and age-appropriateness.10. Evaluates individual student accomplishment of goals and objectives, records progress,and adjusts individual and group learning activities accordingly.11. Identifies pupil needs and makes appropriate referrals and develops strategies forindividual education plans.12. Assists pupils in dealing with academic, personal and social problems.13. Works with guidance specialists, staff members, parents, and outside persons or agenciesto assist students with special problems.14. Works with parents/caregivers of individual children to help guide the growth anddevelopment of the children.15. Demonstrates an understanding of Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and CommonCore State Standards.16. Participates in ongoing professional development activities related to student population& certification areas.17. Communicates regularly with parents/caregivers by means of newsletters, notes, phonecalls, conferences, etc.18. Is available to students and parents/caregivers for education-related purposes outside theinstructional day.19. Properly utilizes and conserves physical facilities, equipment and supplies.20. Assist in the task of operating the school as a community of cooperative and constructivemembers.21. Integrate technology within instruction to increase student comprehension and interest.22. Maintains an understanding of the philosophies and principles utilized in District-wideprograms.23. Follows state and federal special education regulations, as outlined in the IDEA and therequirements set forth in 603 CMR 28.00 which are in addition to, or in some instancesclarify or further elaborate, the special education rights and responsibilities set forth instate statute (M.G.L. c. 71B), federal statute (20 U.S.C. 1400 et seq. as amended), andfederal regulations (34 CFR 300 et seq. as amended).24. Follows all standards and indicators to the best of his or her ability, as described in theSutton Public Schools Teacher Evaluation Agreement.25. Adheres to the voted upon collective bargaining agreement and any applicableMOUs/MOAs between the Sutton Teachers Association and School Committee26. Other duties as assigned by administration.

Whilethe majority of the work day is spent inside, the employee must spend time outdoors for firedrills and/or special activities.

Sutton High School and Sutton Middle School are in search of 1.0 FTESpanish Teacher to begin in the 2026-27 school year. To help studentslearn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their education; tocreate a program of study and a class environment favorable to learningand personal growth; to establish effective rapport with pupils; to motivatepupils to develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to becomesuccessful individuals, in accordance with each pupils ability; to establishgood relationships with parents/caregivers and with other staff members.The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to equity andanti-bias educational practices in educational settings.

1. Professional verification of leadership experience in public school education, including atleast five years of successful experience as a classroom teacher at the applicable level2. The employee must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and occasionally movethroughout the school building as needed. Regular use of hands for typing, handling objects, andoperating tools is required, along with sufficient grip strength for various tasks. The role involvesfrequent use of a computer and standard office equipment such as a calculator, copier, andprinter. The employee must be able to enter data, read from screens, and review handwritten orprinted materials, with or without visual aids. Clear and effective communication with students,parents/caregivers, and colleaguesboth in person and over the phoneis essential. Strongvisual and auditory awareness is necessary to ensure student safety and provide meaningfulfeedback.WORK ENVIRONMENT
