Multi-Sensory Reading Teacher K-8 Maywood Board of Education United States, Jersey, Maywood May 08, 2026 The Maywood School District is seeking a Multi-Sensory Reading Teacher to provide structured literacy instruction to both general education and special education students. This role supports students who benefit from intervention through RTI, Section 504 plans, and IEPs, with a focus on strengthening foundational reading skills.

Responsibilities:

Deliver explicit, multi-sensory reading instruction (individual and small group) Support students across general education and special education settings Implement interventions aligned with

RTI, 504

plans, and IEP goals Monitor student progress and adjust instruction using data Collaborate with teachers, CST members, and families Participate in meetings and contribute to student support planning

Qualifications:

Valid NJ Teaching Certificate (Special Education and/or Reading Specialist preferred) Orton-Gillingham training (preferred) or similar structured literacy program (e.g., Wilson) Experience working with students with reading difficulties, including dyslexia Strong collaboration and communication skills

Salary:
