Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manages more than one functional area of manufacturing, such as machining, assembly, tool and die, packaging.
  • Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
  • Provides direct supervision to non-exempt and exempt employees or subordinate supervisors.
  • Acts as a guide and may become actively involved to meet schedules and resolve problems.
  • Collaborates internally with subordinates and managers at equivalent or slightly higher levels.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision is required.
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities and be flexible
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Must be able to lead a team and manage/resolve employee conflict
  • Good at following and creating procedures
  • Strong Lean manufacturing / process improvement experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Hangar and flight operations experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of government and company flight procedures a plus.
  • Previous Military experience a plus
Desired Skills:
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for use at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced abilities with Microsoft Office products, SAP, Solumina.
  • Successful applicant must be willing to work any shift and overtime.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry preferred.
  • Previous supervisor experience in a union environment.
  • Previous Sikorsky Experience.

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this
