Multimedia Specialist

Job description Our company is seeking to obtain professional multimedia services to support Visual Information services at Patrick Space Force Base (PSFB) in Melbourne, FL. The Visual Information Center supports the Office of Public Affairs (PAO) mission to ensure that the public is informed about the PSFB activities, priorities and policies. Multimedia Specialist roles and responsibilities are primarily those of a videographer and photographer with some graphic design experience a plus. Photography tasks encompass both in-studio and on-location assignments. Videography services include filming and editing for special events, space launches, and command videos. Development of photo stills for digital, print, and public release; as well as head and shoulder command photos, passport photos, official PSFB photography. Must be able to write journalistic cut lines according to AP guidelines. The job requires routine and specialized photographic editing duties such as image processing, color management, image manipulation and cataloging. Graphic Design services may include development of original graphics, icons, illustrations, animations (e.g., GIFs), data visualization, and infographics for websites, social media, and press conference exhibits that helps translate sometimes complex information in an understandable manner to a modern and diverse audience. The successful applicant will be cross-trained in the area of audio visual services including audio/video equipment utilized in conferences and meetings; and the use of video cameras. Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree in the field of multimedia and/or communications Specific Skill Requirements 5+ years of related full-time work experience in digital photography Proficiency in operating cameras (both photo and video) in manual mode without relying on automatic settings 3+ years of experience in Graphic Design (a plus) All applicants MUST submit a link to an online portfolio, in order to be considered for this position. Applicants outside of the Patrick SFB/Melbourne, FL area will have to relocate at their own expense. Position is contingent on applicant's ability to successfully obtain a favorable government background check.

Pay:
