Multiple Full-Time and Part-Time Cafeteria Workers

Position:

Cafeteria Worker Qualifications:

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year experience working in a food service setting, preferably with quantity foods.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to perform bookkeeping and counting of money.
• Must have appropriate ServSafe certification or be able pass and willing to obtain certification within 30 days of hiring.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily operations pertaining to the school breakfast and lunch programs including the preparation of foods.
• Serve as cashier during student meal times.
• Work closely with students, Culinary Instructor(s), and Food Services Director.
• Assist in daily clean-up of the kitchen and equipment
• Operate dishwasher and three compartment sink
• Stock refrigerators and freezers
• Maintain high standards of safety and sanitation
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation:

$19.94/ hour-$28.39/ hour,commensurate with education and experience.

Work Year and Benefits:

This position is a school year position, typically including 10 additional days each year beyond the school year for students. Benefits may include optional health/dental/vision insurance, retirement benefits, sick leave, personal leave, bereavement leave, paid holidays and some additional benefits. (Benefits will vary for Part-time employment)
