Full-time Background:
PKL Services will be providing contractor Organizational Level (O-Level) and Intermediate Level (I-level) maintenance in support to 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (2nd MAW) squadrons at MCAS New River, NC.
Summary:
The MCAS New River Site Supervisor for MV-22 maintenance shall ensure that an adequate number of personnel are qualified and requalified while also ensuring that contractor personnel support good order and productivity within the assigned workspaces. The Site Supervisor is also tasked with all associated management actions of site employees.
Additional duties include:
Oversee daily operations. Coordinate employee schedules ensuring adequate coverage. Enforce all workplace policies and procedures. Coordinate training and professional development activities for employees. Conduct employee performance reviews. Perform all local management actions associated with the contractors under his charge. Conduct investigations and generate reports arising from any quality defect notices issued against contractor employees. Verify employee timesheets. Conduct new employee introductions and initial indoctrinations. Manages all actions related to the servicing, repair, and overhaul for aircraft and aircraft engines while ensuring their safe for flight/RFI status. Function as advisor to the aircraft maintenance team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Utilizes experience and judgement to plan and accomplish maintenance goals. Address and report safety concerns in a timely manner. Mediate and resolve on-site conflicts. Conduct counselling as needed, verbal and written, and submit to upper-level managers. Conduct interviews with potential new-hire candidates. Assist the PKL program management team in collating and submitting all contract and program deliverables. Lead and motivate team to ensure efficient service to the customer with quality work. Share lessons learned with the MCAS Camp Pendleton Site Supervisor Any and all other duties as assigned by the Aircraft Site Manager.
Required educational/skills background:
Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. As a substitute for a bachelor's degree, three (3) to ten (10) years' experience supervising military Type Model Series (TMS) aircraft with at least three years of experience in management/supervision. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience with aircraft systems, hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability. 10 years of experience maintaining MV-22 aircraft Experience as a contract Lead/Supervisor/Manager is preferred Demonstrated knowledge and working experience in military aircraft maintenance organizations governed under
CNAFINST 4790.2
(series). Experienced in all aspects of safety, documentation, hazardous materials (HAZMAT), training/licenses/certifications, scheduling, production control and management. Well experienced in supervising, hiring, terminations , training, planning, scheduling, controlling projects and managing personnel. Experience in initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives related to aircraft systems, hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Expert problem-solving and negotiating skills. Exceptional communications skills, both written and oral, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. Time and project management skills. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Commitment to provide exceptional service to the customer and support to staff members.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Primarily in an office environment but may traverse into workshop areas. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key). The noise level in the primary work environment is usually moderate. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind.
