Chawanakee Unified serves students in transitional kindergarten (TK) through 12th grade. The district operates seven schools and provides a comprehensive range of college and career readiness opportunities designed to support student success. Chawanakee Unified is guided by four core values: providing a collaborative culture, recognizing that relationships matter, demonstrating excellence in all we do, and championing every student.
Job Summary Job Summary Job Definition:
The Native Student Success & Services Advocate plays a vital role in supporting the academic achievement and overall success of Native American students within Chawanakee Unified School District. This position promotes educational equity, cultural understanding, and positive school engagement through relationship-building, advocacy, and collaboration with families, educators, and community partners. The Advocate helps ensure that Native students have meaningful access to educational opportunities that honor and reflect their cultural identity. This position works under the direction of the Chawanakee Unified School District Indian Education Committee (IEC) and the site principal. The Advocate contributes to the implementation of the district's Indian Education Program and supports the goals and objectives identified by the IEC.
