As an NC Punch Press Operator, you would be responsible for setup and operation of our Amada

AE 2510 & EMK

3610 or Trumpf TruPunch punch press machines, to process sheets into products. This work includes use of material handling equipment, part removal from cutting processes, part cleanup/sanding/deburr and packaging to meet customer orders for quality conforming parts.

Job Responsibilities:

Read and follow instructions on job traveler Read and understand blueprints Use basic measure tools such as pins, caliper, tape measure, height gage Follow and document quality plan for inspection of parts Match material types, thickness and finish to requirements on the job traveler, material tags Recognize defects in parts, not limited to rust, damage, missing features, not matching print. Identify material type in conformance with print / job traveler specification Handle parts for the process and package according to instructions Label parts with matching job label including quantity and next operation Operate machine controls including loading programs, punch condition selection, punch tool settings, punch condition settings to produce a part meeting specifications. Assemble, setup and install punch tooling into punch press turret Insert raw material and remove finished product from MP load/unload material handling system Removal of parts, scrap and raw material skeletons using various material handling methods including, hand unload, pallet jack, or forklift use. Maintain machine, work areas and tooling to ensure a clean and safe environment, this includes general cleaning, housekeeping and preventative maintenance of the machines.

Skills/Qualifications:

Experience running an NC punch press machine is required, 1 year or more of Amada or Trumpf experience is preferred. Use of Amada MP1530 or Trumpf SheetMaster material load/unload system experience preferred. Other branded punch machines with load/unload system experience will also be given strong consideration. General part handling and use of tools. Forklift use will be a required part of this position for loading/unloading sheet loader system. Process experience in multiple deburr methods and part packaging is desired. Will train the right candidate based on experience. Attention to processes, print and process requirements, quality control and following instruction are important skills for success in this role.
