Job Description

Accurate Fabrication, LLC is a rapidly growing custom metal fabrication company seeking a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate flow of materials, inventory, and customer shipments throughout our operation. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and are committed to supporting both our customers and fellow team members with a high level of professionalism and accountability. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, safety-focused, and capable of balancing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and urgency. This role is essential to maintaining efficient operations and ensuring customers receive quality products on time. Key Responsibilities Shipping Operations Prepare and process outbound shipments accurately and on schedule Pull and verify correct inventory, parts, and quantities for shipment Inspect product for visible damage or quality concerns prior to shipment Ensure all paperwork, labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documentation are accurate and complete Package and load product using proper packing and handling techniques Process shipment transactions in the ERP system the same day as shipment Coordinate with customer service, production, logistics, and outside carriers to meet customer due dates Communicate shipment delays, shortages, or issues proactively to appropriate departments Maintain accurate shipment records and tracking information Receiving Operations Verify incoming shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and ERP system records Physically count and inspect incoming materials and products for accuracy and condition Follow established procedures when discrepancies or damage are identified Print and apply product labels and attach job travelers as required Stage, organize, and store inventory in proper warehouse locations Process receiving transactions in the ERP system daily Communicate RMA or quality-related concerns to Quality Assurance and leadership Warehouse & Operational Support Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently Complete daily forklift inspections and report mechanical concerns immediately Follow all company safety procedures including dock safety protocols, wheel chocks, dock plates, and door chains Assist with inventory accuracy and warehouse organization initiatives Work collaboratively with production and operations teams to support workflow and customer requirements Cross-train and remain prepared to support Shipping/Receiving Lead or Transportation duties as needed Monitor future shipment and material requirements to identify potential risks to customer due dates Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate Forklift experience preferred Experience working in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and ERP systems preferred Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems quickly, and adapt to changing demands Strong communication and teamwork skills Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic required Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain physically active throughout the shift What We're Looking For At Accurate Fabrication, we value employees who: Take ownership and accountability in their work Demonstrate integrity, urgency, and dependability Work well in a team-oriented environment Communicate professionally with coworkers, vendors, and customers Strive for continuous improvement and operational excellence Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality This position may require overtime and schedule flexibility based on production and customer demands.
