As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations Driver in Spruce Pine, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, movement, and departure in accordance with site policies and applicable procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols. Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining awareness of changing conditions throughout the assigned location.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card/license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
