Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Operates a variety of mobile hydraulic boom cranes with lifting capacities over 50 ton at locations where maneuverability is restricted, and accuracy is critical.TYPICAL DUTIES
Makes precise load placements where exact movements are necessary, to position the load accurately and safely. Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values." Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics." Performs loading and unloading of equipment and supplies, where masts, antennas, and other obstructions exist. Precision positioning of equipment, lifting heavy machinery and components, as well as beams and lumber. Cross trains in other positions, and performs other related duties as assigned Will work in a cab and use pilot operated joystick controls, pedals, levers and buttons to lift, move, and position loads using hoisting attachments, such as hooks, slings, electromagnets, and buckets. Operators will observe load hookup and determine safety of load and inspect and report on crane and hoisting mechanism. Crane operators must be careful and attentive at all times so they can follow directions closely as they will communicate with team members both verbally and by signal instruction. Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards. Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one (3) year of mechanical, industrial or refinery maintenance experience. General knowledge of basic hand tools. Must be able to pass equipment test and visual observation of operating equipment. Complete the Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training, and Client/Site specific training. Must obtain and maintain an active status appropriate drug testing program. Must have a NCCCO card and current DOT Card. Must have a Valid Driver's License and must be able to pass an MVR. Must pass a background check.Physical Requirements:
Work includes field inspections and audits and the physical ability to conduct these field duties which require the following activities: Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project via turnstile access. Extensive walking in and around a construction site. Tasks at heights including climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, and working on uneven surfaces. Working in small or confined spaces. Ability to push, pull, lift, or carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. fall protection harness, hard hat, etc.). Ability to be fit tested for and use a respirator. Must be able to perform work tasks in hot and cold temperatures. Washington law requires pay information in job postings. The typical hiring range for this position in Washington is shown below. The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, the actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.Hiring range:
