Network/Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and maintain network infrastructure with a focus on Juniper Networks switching and routing
• Configure and install routers, switches, access points and other IP endpoints.
• Design, deploy and manage a complex LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi networks.
• Support and administer Microsoft 365 environments for internal and customer use
• Diagnose and resolve VoIP performance and connectivity issues
• Maintain and support virtualized environments using VMware
• Configure and troubleshoot firewall policies and VPNs using Fortinet
• Provide support response for customers requiring escalated assistance with information technology issues and problems.
• Respond to requests for technical assistance by phone, email, remote desktop and/or using the helpdesk ticket management system.
• Updating the helpdesk system and communicating with relevant parties and manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUESTED

Must-Have:

• Strong hands-on experience with Juniper Networks switching and networking
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments
• Solid troubleshooting skills across networking and systems
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues

Preferred:

• Experience with VoIP systems and troubleshooting
• Experience with VMware
• Experience configuring Fortinet firewalls
• Background in ISP or managed service provider (MSP) environments

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
