Night Shift Dog Attendant

Position Overview Endless Pawsibilities is looking for a dependable, hard-working, dog-loving Overnight Lodging Attendant to help care for our canine guests during nighttime hours. This position is much more than "watching dogs sleep." Our overnight team is responsible for keeping the facility clean, organized, calm, and safe while making sure every dog in our care is comfortable and properly cared for. Candidates must be comfortable working overnight, working independently, handling dogs of all sizes, and staying active throughout the shift. All overnight candidates must complete a day shift probationary training period before transitioning to overnight shifts. This ensures each team member is fully trained in our procedures, dog handling expectations, cleaning standards, and facility routines. Key Responsibilities The Overnight Lodging Attendant is responsible for: Walking dogs for potty breaks and assigned nighttime routines Cleaning and disinfecting suites, kennels, play yards, and common areas Completing laundry, dishes, and general facility cleaning Preparing meals and following detailed feeding instructions Administering medications when assigned and documenting properly Monitoring dogs for changes in behavior, appetite, bathroom habits, or health concerns Completing puppy tuck-ins, potty breaks, enrichment, and other assigned services Handling late drop-offs and after-hours pick-ups professionally Reviewing and logging belongings, feeding instructions, medications, and owner notes Keeping accurate records in Gingr Maintaining a calm, quiet, and safe overnight environment Reporting concerns, low inventory, or facility issues to management Assisting with basic grooming or cleaning up dogs as needed before they go home Following all dog handling instructions, trainer notes, and safety protocols Requirements Qualified candidates must: Have experience working with dogs Be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments Be able to safely lift at least 50 lbs Be comfortable walking, bending, lifting, cleaning, and staying on their feet for most of the shift Have previous night shift experience Be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Have reliable transportation Be able to pass a background check Be willing to complete day shift training before moving to overnight shifts Be comfortable handling client interactions during after-hours drop-off and pick-up times Why Endless Pawsibilities?
