The purpose of this position is to provide leadership, direction and oversight for the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality program that supports developing and implementation process improvement, outcome management and quality and service standards and systems. How does it get done? This position includes quality improvement activities and regulatory compliance as well as local and national quality initiatives for the Hospital, Ambulatory Center and Long Term Care services for Miners' Colfax Medical Center. This position will also oversee the day to day operations of the Infection Control, Quality Improvement, Education, Compliance and Credentialing Departments ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed. Who are the customers? The staff, patients, and the community. Ideal Candidate The staff, patients, and the community. Minimum Qualification Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico, or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements, or eligibility for a temporary license issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico and six (6) years of management experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification. Employment Requirements Must successfully complete and pass a background check. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting and extended personal computer and phone usage. Some standing, bending and reaching may be required.
