This opportunity is for a Launch and Initialization Chief engineer that will work directly with the Mission Manager on the Double Eagle program. The candidate will oversee the technical goals and milestones of a readiness campaign. The selected candidate will provide technical support to achieve program goals to include process improvements and efficiency initiatives and participate in the preparation of program reporting mechanisms, e.g. Technical Highlights, WARs, Risk and Opportunity boards, and future mission forums. The candidate is expected to contribute to the development of new principles, techniques, and concepts for the Double Eagle Team and work on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative. Basic Qualifications Experienced professional with an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) understanding Exceptional communication skills to include written, verbal, and presentation skills Thorough understanding of Double Eagle processes and business rhythms Technical leadership experience via crew lead, team lead, project lead, Chief Engineer, or Management Holds or has held relevant certifications or qualifications Individual must display full spectrum leadership attributes Desired Skills Experience with multiple missions across multiple sites Experience forming consensus Project Management experience leading a mid to large size project Significant experience either working in or with another group within the program Experienced with establishing and/or facilitating process improvements events Experience working closely with a Vehicle/Ground Factory and Special Programs Offices (SPOs)
