Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a NOC Med Passer, where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care within assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and chronic conditions such as Alzheimer's. Your expertise will ensure that residents and patients receive timely medication administration and vital sign monitoring, all while adhering to strict privacy standards and medical documentation protocols. Duties Accurately administer medications and treatments following physician orders and established protocols, ensuring safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Assist with patient mobility, catheter care, tube feeding, and other personal care tasks in accordance with care plans. Document all medical interactions thoroughly in medical records, maintaining clarity and accuracy for legal and clinical purposes. Support nursing staff by preparing patients for procedures, updating medical documentation, and communicating changes in patient condition promptly. Observe patients' physiological responses during care activities to identify potential issues early and escalate concerns appropriately. Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control procedures and ensuring proper disposal of medical waste. Skills Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home care environments with a focus on senior or hospice care. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and the fundamentals of patient care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient information. Experience administering medications including injections or tube feedings while adhering to safety protocols. Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient privacy at all times. Pay:
$24.12 - $29.05 per hour
