• Job Summary:

• Under the direct supervision of the Ophthalmic Technical Supervisor, and through collaborative teamwork, provides assistance in the diagnosis and care of ophthalmic patients.

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Ophthalmology is preferred.

• Job Duties:

• + Initiates patient work-ups in the ophthalmology clinics in a timely manner.

These work-ups may include any of the following: − Visual acuities − Pin-hole acuities − Derive past medical and ocular history − Confrontational visual field − Amsler − Automated and manual lensometry − Automated perimetry − Goldmann tonometry − Tono-Pen tonometry − Color vision testing (Ishihara) − Refractometry (plus cylinder utilizing both the phoropter and trial frames) − Use of distometer − Patient education + Performs keratometry, photokeratometry and corneal topography. + Will assist with minor OR and laser procedures. This includes instrument set-up, a working knowledge of sterile technique, instrument cleaning and sterilization. + Exercise proficiency in minor equipment maintenance. + Log and organize equipment repairs for contracted maintenance. + Performs visometry and BAT (Brightness Acuity Test). + Other duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the supervisor or practice manager. + Will assist with minor OR and laser procedures. • Salary Range:

• Actual salary commensurate with experience.

• Work Schedule:

• On-site, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and as needed on occasion.
