Non-Commercial Drivers License Tow Truck Driver

Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Non-Commercial Driver's License Tow Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves providing prompt and professional towing services, ensuring vehicle safety, and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, driving expertise, and the ability to handle various roadside situations efficiently. Duties Operate flatbed tow trucks and other towing equipment to assist stranded or disabled vehicles Load and unload vehicles safely using appropriate tools and techniques Perform basic automotive diagnostics and minor mechanical repairs as needed Drive in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations, maintaining a valid non-commercial driver's license Assist customers with vehicle recovery, ensuring a positive experience through professional communication Conduct routine inspections of tow truck equipment to ensure safety and functionality Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively, providing excellent customer service during stressful circumstances Maintain accurate records of all towing activities and service reports Collaborate with dispatch to prioritize calls and ensure timely response Requirements Valid non-commercial driver's license with a clean driving record Prior experience with tow trucks, flatbeds, or automotive repair is highly preferred Mechanical knowledge including automotive diagnostics, repair skills, and familiarity with manual transmissions Experience operating heavy-duty equipment such as forklifts is a plus Strong driving skills with the ability to handle large vehicles safely under various conditions Knowledge of automotive systems, including mechanical repairs and troubleshooting techniques Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict professionally Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety standards Physical stamina to load heavy vehicles and perform roadside assistance tasks effectively This position offers an opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive work and customer service to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.
