Pharmacist Clinical

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract This long-term care clinical pharmacist role offers an opportunity to support skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice services through careful medication management and clinical expertise. The position is based in Chicora, PA and structured as a contract assignment initially for one month with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify orders entered by data entry technicians for multiple care settings, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Check blister-packed medications as well as sterile and non-sterile preparations. Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, providing clinical guidance. Conduct controlled substance counts and maintain perpetual inventory documentation. Check emergency medication boxes to ensure readiness.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing. Minimum of 1 year pharmacist experience; long-term care experience preferred. Proficient with pharmacy operating systems including QS1, Docutrack, and PCC. Able to perform tasks requiring sitting, standing, fine motor skills, and visual acuity. Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds comfortably.

Schedule:

40 hours per week.

Pharmacy hours:

Monday through Friday 8:00 am-6:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am-4:00 pm, Sunday 8:00 am-3:00 pm. This opportunity offers a competitive pay range of $60-$65 per hour.
