Summary of Job Duties:

Responsibilities:

Primary duties include operating state commercial diesel trucks, related undergraduate / technical courses. In addition to teaching, the employee will be responsible for training and/or evaluating student drivers, ensuring they possess the skills to become a licensed commercial driver. Train and evaluate student drivers on the range daily to determine when they are ready to progress from the range to on the road training/driving. Assist student drivers with conducting Pre- and Post Trip inspections. Facilitate instructional and lab activities; maintaining program and student records; coordinating and supervising assisting with maintaining program approval and other duties as assigned. Evening and/or summer hours are required.

CDL certification required, and additional endorsements preferred. Experience teaching students to drive and five years of CDL experience. The ability to interact efficiently with colleagues and students of various cultural and soci-economic backgrounds is important.
