Duties Help This position is loced in the Aircraft Structural Maintenance Section of an Air Nional Guard aircraft Maintenance Group, Maintenance Squadron, Fabricion Flight. This is an Air Nional Guard (ANG) Dual Stus Technician position requiring military membership, compible military skill assignment, and classificion. The primary purpose of this position is to inspect aerospace weapon systems components and support equipment for structural integrity using nondestructive inspection methods and performs fluid analysis. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO AREAS OF CONSIDERATION

(AOC) 1 & 2 ONLY, WITH

PRIORITY GIVEN TO AOC 1.

Area 1: Current permanent employees of the South Carolina Air Nional Guard. (Note-Temporary and Indefinite employees do not meet permanent tenure requirements and will not qualify for this AOC) . Area 2: Current members of the South Carolina Air Nional Guard (DSGs). Area 3: Current nionwide Air Nional Guard military members, AF Reserve military members, and RegAF. (Must be willing to transfer to the SC Air Nional Guard), US citizens eligible for immedie membership in the SC Air Nional Guard.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE

: Experience or training which demonstres the ability to set up and opere test equipment, use test apparus to apply tests to merial or products, record readings, observe and record established reactions, and classify according to defined cegories.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: Must have least 18 months of experiences or training in using ultrasonic and/or eddy current inspection techniques to observe, measure, and detect discontinuities and flaws. Experience classifying test results, identifying merial deficiencies and recommending courses of action for items of equipment. Experience recommending engine components to be inspected and forwarding results to the approprie authority. Experience performing scheduled inspections of testing equipment ensuring compliance with established technical regulions and procedures.
