TBD Job Summary The Project Manager is responsible for estimating, coordinating, and managing awarded traffic control projects ranging from small to large scale, ensuring successful execution that supports company growth and profitability. This role serves as a key liaison between Sales, Operations, internal departments, customers, and governing agencies, maintaining strong working relationships while delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget. The Project Manager oversees the full project lifecycle—from initial client engagement and estimating through planning, permitting, execution, billing, and closeout—while consistently meeting performance, margin, and service expectations.
Essential Duties:
Work with the Sales department to identify & prospect new clients Take and enter requests for quotes Analyze and plan out customer's traffic control needs Collect client / job info: project location, duration, type, services required, etc. Maintain Access database current with project and contact information Attend job-walks, site inspections, etc. Send prospective credit applications to Client, then process internally Complete estimates for all new scopes of work including existing projects. Also, for other departments as required Create jobs from estimates that are awarded Enter orders in a timely fashion and complete with all the information needed to do the job Follow up and track win/loss ratio of completed estimates Manage Planning, Permits & Dispatch for pricing and availability Work and maintain relationships with the local governing agencies. Manage projects and orders through completion Create profit & loss reports as needed Regularly update order statuses to the most current Process billing daily for completed orders. The billing deadline is the 2nd. All billing from the prior month needs to be submitted by 5pm. Support
A/R & A/P
department with client invoicing as well as collections Assist with training for any piers up to your level of project management
Key Performance Expectations:
Average score of (7) on knowledge of our systems, process, quality, level of estimating abilities, and level of project management abilities. RFQ quantity range of 20+ Estimate quantity range of 25+ Closing percentage range of 55%+ Order quantity range of 60+ Profit margin of 45%+ Billing average range of $70k+

Equipment Operated:
Vehicles (Trucks/Cars) of various sizes Flatbed trucks Trailer mounted warning signs Cones, delineators, drums, barricades, signs and various other traffic control devices Trailer Physical Requirements & Work Environment Requires standing for prolonged periods of time Requires remaining in the seated position for prolonged periods of time Requires lifting up 50lb Requires using hands to handle, control or lift objects Requires being outside and exposed to environmental conditions Requires being in construction environment Requires repetitive movement Exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment and moving vehicular traffic Exposure to reasonable noise levels Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience estimating traffic control, construction services, or related field Strong understanding of traffic control operations and equipment Experience reviewing construction plans and traffic control drawings Proficient with estimating tools, spreadsheets, and CRM or project management systems Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with DOT, municipal, or utility projects Familiarity with MUTCD standards and local traffic regulations Field experience in traffic control or roadway construction Knowledge of scheduling and cost analysis
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma / Graduate The preferred candidate will have: Minimum 2 years of related experience in construction industry Bachelor's degree This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and employees will also perform other duties as assigned by management as required.
