This role serves as the site subject-matter expert for quality systems, internal/external audits, and quality risk management, and partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Quality. The position reports to the Site Quality Director/Manager Key Responsibilities Own and continuously improve the site QMS, including governance, procedures, and process performance monitoring. Ensure effective document control, including creation, review, approval, revision control, archival, and timely obsolescence of controlled documents. Lead the internal audit program (risk-based schedule, auditor qualification, execution, reporting, and follow-up) and ensure readiness for customer, regulatory, and certification audits. Coordinate and host external audits/assessments; develop audit plans, manage logistics, and ensure timely, sustainable responses to findings. Own the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system: drive root cause analysis, effectiveness checks, and closure discipline; trend issues to prevent recurrence. Administer change control to ensure product/process changes are assessed, approved, verified/validated as required, and communicated prior to implementation. Manage nonconformance control processes (material review board support, disposition controls, containment, and systemic action linkage to CAPA). Lead Management Review activities and quality performance reporting; define and track key metrics (e.g., audit performance, CAPA cycle time, customer complaints, scrap/rework, first-pass yield). Helps in developing the site training system (competency requirements, training matrices, records, and effectiveness) to ensure workforce compliance. Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to implement robust process controls, standard work, error-proofing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support supplier quality system interfaces as applicable (e.g., supplier corrective actions, quality agreements, audits) in collaboration with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality. Drive quality culture through coaching, facilitation, and cross-functional problem-solving; mentor and develop quality systems staff and internal auditors. Ensure data integrity and effective use of electronic QMS tools (eQMS) and reporting dashboards; maintain accurate records and retention practices. Maintain awareness of applicable standards and customer-specific requirements; translate requirements into practical, scalable site processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). 5+ years of progressive quality experience in a manufacturing environment, including ownership of one or more core quality systems (e.g., audits, CAPA, document control, change control). Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and

where applicable. Demonstrated experience leading internal and external audits and managing audit findings to closure. Proficiency with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Ishikawa/Fishbone, 8D, A3). Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Excel and/or BI tools); ability to build meaningful metrics and drive actions from trends. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including procedure writing and executive-level summaries. Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence without authority, and manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or applicable standard) and/or ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE). Experience with automotive and/or manufacturing sector requirements (e.g., Hands-on experience implementing or administering an electronic QMS (eQMS) platform. Lean/Six Sigma background (Green Belt/Black Belt) with demonstrated continuous improvement results. Experience with statistical methods (SPC), measurement systems concepts, and process capability reporting. Prior people leadership experience (direct or dotted-line leadership of auditors/quality systems staff). Physical demands may include standing/walking for extended periods, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
