Job Description
Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Project Manager III will lead large, complex, multidiscipline projects exceeding $10M, overseeing planning, scheduling, execution, and cross-functional team performance. Manage budgets, risks, and project controls while driving improvements in efficiency, quality, and resource utilization. Provide technical oversight of project documentation, field execution, and compliance with codes and standards, including ASME Section XI. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams, mentor staff, and support high-risk project delivery. Requires EPC lifecycle experience, commercial nuclear background, Primavera P6 proficiency, PMP certification, and strong expertise in EVM, risk management, and large-scale project execution. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.Pay rate:

Manage large, complex, multidiscipline projects and programs exceeding $10M, including planning, scheduling, execution, and control of all activities Lead project teams of 10+ members and oversee cross-functional coordination across multiple organizations Establish project priorities and maintain oversight of all project phases, risks, and deliverables Direct engineering, procurement, construction, and implementation activities for high-risk, high-investment projects Manage project budgets and forecasts; collaborate closely with finance and project controls teams Monitor project management processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness Conduct technical reviews of project documentation, including schedules, risk registers, work orders, test plans, and turnover strategies Identify errors, risks, and inefficiencies; implement corrective actions to improve schedule performance, quality, and resource utilization Validate and improve Work Order Tasks (WOTs) to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with work management processes Review and enhance testing and acceptance plans (factory, shop, site, and post-modification) Identify opportunities for mock-ups and provide guidance on implementation and effectiveness Apply operating experience insights and develop response strategies to address risks and improve execution Serve asASME PIC
for Section XI Repair & Replacement scopes as required Maintain knowledge of codes, standards, industry trends, and technical practices (welding, rigging, material handling, etc.) Provide oversight of field and shop activities to ensure alignment with project strategies and execution plans Act as on-shift lead for project execution as needed, overseeing crews of 50+ personnel Deliver feedback to project leadership on strategy, execution plans, and project performance Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and remove execution barriers Participate in key project meetings (design reviews, risk management, readiness reviews, schedule development, and strategy sessions) Mentor and coach project managers and team members; act on behalf of management when requiredRequirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Minimum 8 years of experience in project scheduling or project management, including 4+ years on large-scale or mega projects Direct experience with lifecycle construction projects, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) processes Commercial nuclear power plant experience required Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk management practices Experience managing large, complex, multidiscipline projects with high financial impact and risk Knowledge of project documentation, including schedules, risk registers, work orders, test plans, and turnover strategies Familiarity with codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (including ASME Section XI) Experience reviewing and improving technical documentation, work execution plans, and implementation strategies Ability to manage project budgets, estimates, and cost assumptions (unit rates, wage rates, constraints) Experience with radiological controls, material handling, rigging, and quality inspection processes Knowledge of resource planning, mobilization/demobilization strategies, and load board management Experience coordinating with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams PMP certification required Experience in nuclear, renewable energy, or large-scale construction projects preferred Work sponsorship is not available at this time.
