Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - Other Job Type Contract Deliver exceptional maternal and newborn nursing care as a Registered Nurse on a 13-week contract assignment. As a vital part of a high-acuity mother-baby unit, you will play a leadership role in coordinating and delivering compassionate support to at-risk mothers and their infants. This position focuses on hands-on bedside care, active patient/family education, and comprehensive documentation—all while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. Schedule 36 hours per week 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm - 7:30am) Every other weekend required Key Qualifications Valid RN license BLS and NRP certifications mandatory Experience working with high-risk mothers and newborns Previous employment at a high-risk facility strongly preferred Strong ability to ask thoughtful, open-ended questions and remain curious in complex or ambiguous situations Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail Ability to communicate clearly with both families and healthcare team members Self-driven with a proactive approach to patient care Comfortable managing a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 Primary Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient and family-centered care for post-partum mothers and newborns Delegate and supervise care tasks as appropriate Provide thorough education and support to families during the postpartum period Maintain detailed and accurate patient records Collaborate closely with physicians, neonatal teams, and allied health professionals Identify and help resolve barriers to optimal patient outcomes If you are committed to clinical excellence and thrive in a fast-paced, high-risk maternal setting, we welcome your application for this rewarding nursing opportunity.
