Position Summary The Nurse Educator is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating clinical education programs that support excellence in resident care and employee development. This role oversees the AMAP andSTNA/CNA
educational programs and serves as a key resource for clinical training, compliance, mentoring, and quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who is passionate about staff development, resident safety, and maintaining high standards of clinical practice. Essential Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Promote and support The Orchards' mission, vision, and core values. Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, collaboration, and professional leadership. Support employee engagement, mentoring, and retention initiatives for both new and experienced clinical staff. Establish priorities and organize workflow to ensure quality resident care and operational efficiency. Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a team-oriented approach. Education & Training Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical and personal care education programs based on regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and organizational needs. Oversee the in-house STNA/CNA and AMAP training programs. Coordinate orientation and onboarding programs for clinical staff. Conduct and review annual competencies for nursing personnel in collaboration with clinical leadership. Identify educational needs and provide ongoing training related to policy, procedure, and regulatory updates. Assist department leaders with the introduction and implementation of new clinical policies and procedures. Clinical Support & Quality Improvement Assist with performance improvement initiatives and continuous quality improvement efforts. Support clinical rounding processes and survey readiness/compliance activities. Serve as a resource for regulatory standards, case mix management, and quality measures. Provide clinical support for direct care and administrative nursing teams as needed. Participate in resident care problem-solving conferences and interdisciplinary collaboration. Support initiatives that improve clinical outcomes, operational systems, and resident safety. Compliance & Resident Safety Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards. Promote an environment focused on resident safety, risk reduction, and error prevention. Demonstrate knowledge of proper identification, reporting, and resolution of healthcare errors. Ensure nursing standards and practices are reviewed and updated annually to reflect changes in clinical practice. Collaborate with department supervisors to maintain compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Current RN license in good standing- REQUIRED Experience in long-term care, senior living, rehabilitation, or related healthcare setting preferred. Previous experience in staff development, education, or training strongly preferred. Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations and survey processes. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and support a team-centered culture. Why Join The Orchards?
