Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our mobile wound care team. This position involves traveling to provide advanced wound care management including assessment, treatment, and follow-up care.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of wound etiology, stage, and other relevant conditions. Develop and implement wound management plans based on current standards of practice and evidencebased research. Apply appropriate wound dressings and perform necessary procedures such as debridement, applying compression wraps, initiating negative pressure wound therapy, and Human Cellular and/or Tissue Based Products. Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, adjusting treatment plans as needed. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on wound care techniques and prevention strategies. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records. Provide telehealth consultations as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while driving to and from patient locations.
Qualifications:
Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Michigan. Certification in wound care preferred (e.g., CWCN, CWS, or CWCA). At least 2 years of experience in wound care, dermatology, or related field. Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Comfortable with technology including electronic medical records and mobile communication tools.
