Job Description

Nurse Practitioner Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine and pediatrics, with experience in occupational health and the ability to perform various clinical procedures. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and health histories. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions, developing appropriate treatment plans. Perform clinical procedures such as I & D, Ear Irrigations, other small in office procedures. Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses to treatments. Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients. Maintain accurate medical records using Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems. Manage durable medical equipment (DME) needs for patients as required. Experience A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field is required. Current Nurse Practitioner certification with relevant state licensure. Experience in internal medicine and pediatrics is preferred; occupational health experience is a plus. Proficiency in performing clinical practice Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
