We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) for a full-time opportunity performing Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams for Veterans in Forest, VA. Quick Highlights Full-time, Monday-Friday 9:00 AM
• 5:00 PM $72-77/hour No treatment, prescribing, or on-call responsibilities 6-12 month contract with extension potential Training provided
• prior VA/C&P experience not required What You'll Do You will complete one-time disability evaluations for Veterans as part of the Veterans Benefits Administration program.

During each appointment, you will: Review the Veteran's medical history in advance Perform guided exams using an easy web-based portal Document findings electronically Submit completed exam notes within 48 hours You will not: Prescribe medications Create treatment plans Determine disability ratings Your documentation is sent to the VA, where final claim decisions are made. Types of Exams Most exams involve: Musculoskeletal Cardiac Respiratory Additional testing such as X-rays, labs, EKGs, pulmonary function tests, or ABIs may be ordered and completed nearby or onsite.
