Job Description
Position Description Pawnee County Memorial Hospital has a position available for a full-time Nurse Practitioner. This position provides primary health care and specialized services, diagnoses medical conditions, plans and implements interventions and evaluates patients responses under the direction of and in partnership with a collaborating physician and will always work as an advocate of the
PCMH/RHC
with the goal to serve patients. As a member of the health care team, the NP will play an integral role in the global management of in-patients and out-patients, including all aspects of care in the hospital and clinic setting. This includes assisting the primary care physician in complex procedures. Our small-town atmosphere offers a professional environment in a critical access facility. Bachelor of Science Degree National certification and current license in state of Nebraska to practice as a Nurse Practitioner Current license in Nebraska BLS (Basic Life Support) certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification Must have effective oral and written communication skills. Must be able to handle multiple concurrent tasks Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines Excellent customer service skills Effective written and oral communication skills Work as a member of a healthcare teamJob Responsibilities :
Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services. Establishes and maintains documentation within the EHR for each patient encounter that are sufficiently complete for any clinical provider reviewing them to evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care. Provides care and treatment to patients independently with telemedicine/phone call oversight. Determines a patients treatment course and determine the need for admission, transfer to higher level of care or to discharge a patient. Collaborates with Medical Staff, management, and other health care providers to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care. Maintains and performs all patient related documentation in a timely, factual, and legible manner. Performs Emergency treatment as required. Promotes and ensures patient safety in all aspects of responsibilities. Assumes accountability for continual development of self and colleagues as professional practitioners.
