Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner, under the supervision of the Medical Director, delivers primary health care and fulfills such duties as assessment, planning, teaching, and counseling.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Deliver quality patient care using nursing process and critical thinking.
  • Obtain comprehensive and problem-focused health histories and physical exams.
  • Screen for health risks, psychosocial factors, and health promotion needs.
  • Identify abnormal findings; order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Develop differential diagnoses and individualized care plans.
  • Provide education, counseling, and anticipatory guidance.
  • Prescribe pharmacologic and initiate non-pharmacologic therapies.
  • Accurately document all patient interactions in the EHR.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and school staff.
  • Participate in policy development, performance improvement, and clinic reviews.
  • Meet clinic performance measures for enrollments, physicals, and immunizations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Maintain supplies, equipment knowledge, and current credentials.
  • Stay updated on adolescent medicine trends.
  • Promote effective communication among patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Work flexible schedules to meet clinic needs.
Skills:
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum two (2)
  • three (3) years of experience.
Preferred Skills & Experience:

Required Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Preferred Education:
  • N/A Required Certifications & Licensure:
  • Current unrestricted license to practice as Registered Nurse in North Carolina and approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by the North Carolina Medical Board and the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC).
Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
