Job Description
As a Nurse Practitioner at New England Women's Healthcare the NP provides comprehensive women's health services to women throughout all stages of life. The NP collaborates closely with the Physicians. This is a 100% office-based role focused on comprehensive gynecologic care for patients in a supportive, patient-centered environment.
Qualifications:
- Must have 2-5 years experience as OBGYN Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) Assists physicians in the care of patients in the office, including screening and diagnostic workup of patients.
- Works in collaboration with the physicians to assess the physical needs of the patient and implement a plan of care.
- Develops and maintains own practice panels.
- Evaluates, interprets, and records results of tests (Laboratory, Radiology, etc.), and reports results to physicians.
- Responds to telephone calls from patients, pharmacies, etc., to meet the patients' needs.
- Communicates examination results to patients by telephone and/or letter.
- Coordinates and supervises the overall patient flow to ensure a smooth patient turnover.
- Provides patient and staff education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive gynecologic care, including annual exams and preventive screenings
- Diagnose and manage common gynecologic conditions
- Counsel patients on contraception, menopause, sexual health, and preventive care
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff as needed
- Prenatal and postnatal care
- Care during perimenopause and menopause
