Casual work attire On-the-job training Company perks Growth opportunities Lively atmosphere We are looking for a candidate to work in our shipping department, preparing orders for clients and accompanying the delivery driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to our customers, stocking shelves, and providing excellent customer service. Additionally, this person must be able to work independently and efficiently in order to meet deadlines. Driver's License not required, but highly desirable.

Nursery Associate/ Driver Assistant Supervised By:

Owners or other assigned staff

Primary Purposes:

Safely and efficiently deliver nursery products between stores and to distributors. Prepare plants for delivery, merchandise product at retail stores. A typical day consists of delivery to customers, offloading product, assisting merchandiser at stores, processing delivery receipts, and collecting carts for return to Farm. When not on delivery, you will assist your team members in cleaning, organizing, labeling, and racking plants. Knowledge of customer service, plant varieties and plant care is highly preferred but not required.

Job Details:

• Regular inspection and logging of vehicle condition. Informing management immediately of any safety or maintenance needs.
• Loading and unloading plants to company stores and to clients.
• Accurately processing any invoices, purchase orders, or delivery receipts related to deliveries.
• Operating company owned vehicles including box truck, flatbed truck, pickup truck, deliver van, forklift, pallet jack, etc.
• Assist in pulling orders, including cleaning, labeling and loading onto a truck or trailer.
• Other related duties as necessary Must be willing to perform physical labor & follow all instructions, comfortable with contacting clients and good with paperwork and time management.

Must be able to load/unload full nursery carts on/off truck.

Other Essential Functions:

Attend professional development seminars and training, as scheduled. Be present for and participate in all company meetings, unless otherwise excused by management. Communicate with fellow coworkers to ensure a positive work environment and excellent customer service. Follow guidelines outlined in company handbook and company procedures communicated verbally or via e-mail, bulletin postings, and handouts.

Working Conditions:

Outdoors in all types of outdoor weather.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds unassisted and able to freely access all areas of the facility. Able to repeatedly lift, bend, twist, carry, push, and walk.

Work Hours:

Usually Monday- Friday and some Saturdays.

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
