DUTIES:
1.Set schedule for monthly nurses' meetings, an agenda and document minutes of meetings. 2.Coordinate nurse trainings and webinars. 3.Coordinate mandated screenings, building specific, and identify needs for sub coverage, if necessary 4.Coordinate CPR classes, instructors and card disbursement, and teach classes. 5.Assist nurses with Educator evaluation planning/rubrics. 6.Complete application annually for medication delegation. 7.Complete application for annual EpiPen competency and use of EpiPen by unlicensed personnel in emergency situations. 8.Complete application for Narcan and order supply for 5 school buildings. 9.Complete application annually for EpiPens and order for 5 school buildings. 10.Collect Monthly Activities Reports from 5 schools as part of the Comprehensive School Health Services Program and compile totals to submit to DPH. 11.Manage the Affiliated Comprehensive School Health Grant and review acceptable funding purchases and expenses. 12.Review applications and resumes of nurse substitute candidates and interview. 13.Review orientation protocol packet for new sub nurses/new hires. 14.Obtain the MSCR (Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration) to give and obtain Narcan and EpiPens for emergency use). Get copies for school physician license and application signatures. 15.Submit annually the end of the year Activities Report to DPH for all 5 schools. 16.Collaborate with school physician in certain scenarios, COVID protocols etc. 17.Collaborate with the Board of Health in certain scenarios, COVID protocols etc. 18.Collaborate with Nancy Funder, contact tracing coordinator for our area. 19.Attend weekly virtual Southeast Region DPH Nurse Leader meetings via Zoom and relay pertinent info to nurses and the Superintendent. 20.Attend four mandatory Affiliated Comprehensive School Health Grant meetings to be in compliance with the rolling grant. 21.Troubleshoot various nursing questions/concerns that arise at all buildings. 22.Obtain signed Standing Orders annually from the school physician, and share with nurses to post in Health Offices 23.Obtain signed Narcan Orders annually from the school physician, and share with nurses to post in Health Offices.
