HealthWays, Inc. in Weirton WV is currently hiring for a Full-Time Nursing Supervisor position. We are a fully licensed, private, non-profit organization, formerly known as Hancock-Brooke Behavioral Health Service, we are the oldest and largest agency of our type in the Upper Ohio Valley. HealthWays provides comprehensive mental health and behavioral health care services to the Panhandle community in the tri-state area, Weirton, WV. And we've been doing it compassionately and professionally since 1964. We are recruiting graduates with RN License and supervisory experience for our Nursing Department. The purpose of this position requires the supervision of and coordination of services and support including nursing services involving the completion of Person Care Certifications and Nursing plan of Care as well as performing needed med training and record keeping, providing relief for the staff RN as required. This position is intended to be under the direct supervision of the CEO. A West Virginia RN license or immediate eligibility for such license is required along with the appropriate professional license or be eligible for a license. Must have a thorough understanding of mental illness, behavioral sciences as applied to the care and treatment of Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and clients with psychiatric conditions including the care, treatment, and appropriate medications. Must be able to assess and evaluate a situation, using independent judgment and initiative and take effective action. Must be able to work on an independent basis, or as part of a team, sometimes filling in for staff RN as required providing the direct orders of a physician, to establish and assist clients towards their treatment goals. Must be able to work with minimum of supervision and communicate with all staff establishing and delivering effective training programs for staff development. Must maintain accurate records and reports. Must adhere to both agency and professional ethical standards. Must have good oral and written communication skills.
