NUTRITION ASSISTANT

team! The Nutrition Assistant assists Food Services and Clinical Nutrition in ensuring patients receive correct meals and proper nourishment in accordance with dietary prescription and individual menu selections. Effectively operates Room Service computer software and other communication systems in the Call Center while maintaining a professional, courteous, and helpful manner at all times. This position is responsible for interfacing with patients through the Food Services Call Center or as a host/hostess delivering Room Service trays to patients, staff, visitors, and outreach customers of Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Must be able to follow all applicable policies, procedures, schedules, sanitation, and safety programs.

HOURS:

Full-time, 0.8 FTE or 64 hours per pay period. Day shift, all days of the week, every other weekend and holiday. Experience/Qualifications Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. One-year experience as a Dietary Aide II beneficial. Possesses the knowledge and demonstrates the ability to perform the essential job responsibilities of one or more of the following: Call Center Associate or Room Service Host/Hostess as described above. Possesses ability to communicate effectively with hospital departments and staff, both orally and in writing. Can read and understand written material. Possesses ability to function under pressure. Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with all types of individuals with various educational and cultural background including patients, staff and general public.
