Rural Nevada Counseling (RNC) CCBHC House Manager (HM) Job Description and Profile The Certified Community Behavioral Health Center House Manager (HM) for Rural Nevada Counseling (RNC), the Agency is highly responsible and trustworthy member of
RNC. RNC
is an entity that meets criteria as established by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) demonstration program and is certified in the State of Nevada by the Division of Public and Behavioral Health's (DPBH) Health Care Quality and Compliance (HCQC) bureau. The HM provides exemplary support services to its clients and House residents. HM role does not include the direct delivery of medical or clinical patient services. The HM has a thorough understanding of services needed for residents with behavioral health issues. The HM must demonstrate skills, knowledge, and protection of resident's rights; recognize obvious symptoms of mental disorder; understands the offered services it is authorized to provide. Maintains control and adheres to self-administration of medication policies and procedures of the house. The HM ensures that agency personnel members provide residents with a supportive, protective living environment and protection of resident's rights. The HM maintains confidentiality of resident records and respects cultural differences. assisting residents in accessing community services; following policy and procedure of the Agency and demonstrates leadership and is a role model for the residents. The HM is a qualified individual who possess the skills and abilities to work collaboratively with and under the Clinical Supervisor, and Executive Director. Duties and Responsibilities Maintains required schedule to actively manage of house residents' care. Assumes full responsibility for on-site management of home activities. Ensures safety protocols are followed and the House and environment is safe for its residents. Ensures that House rules, policies and procedures, and standards of care set forth by RNC are followed. Ensures that agency personnel members provide residents with a supportive, protective living environment and advocates for protection of resident's rights. Promotes resident dignity, independence, individuality, strengths, privacy, and choice. Ensures decisions and rules made in the House are consistent for smooth running of the House and residents' understanding. Participates and attends regularly scheduled in-service education and trainings. Assures that residents take necessary medications in accordance with agency's self-administration medication procedures. Responsible to review medication logs are recorded accurately and appropriately disposes of all expired or discontinued medications. Maintains control and adheres to self-administration of medication policies and procedures of the house. Updating weekly schedule for clients Coordinating transportation The HM reports any needed repairs to the Clinical Director. Protect and maintain the confidentiality of residents' records and information, insuring HIPAA laws are adhered. Ensures residents receive formal, informal independent and life skills training. Demonstrates ethical behaviors such as respecting residents and personnel members' boundaries. Coordinates with the agency's social and recreational activities for residents. Maintain professional and personal boundaries Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization, including management, co-workers, clients, vendors, and associations Understands State and Federal laws regarding privacy confidentiality, and security along with mandated reporting Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive documents and information Exemplary customer service skills, including ability to create positive first impressions and develop partnerships internally and externally Excellent interpersonal and strong oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, including strong attention to detail Able to work on multiple projects and effectively manage changing priorities Proficiency in software applications, using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint) Must be able to get OLA certified Effectively provide verbal and written communications on behalf of the residents to all stakeholders. Prepare samples for sample pick-up and shipment in accordance with established protocols and procedures. Participates in case presentations, evaluations, and staff meetings Conduct substance use testing in accordance with RNC's policies and procedures, include obtaining sample, recording results, and preparing sample for confirmation testing as required, ensuring chain of custody procedures are observed at all times.
