Job Description

Rural Nevada Counseling (RNC) Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Associate Job Description and Profile The Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Associate supports Rural Nevada Counseling (RNC); the Agency by providing exemplary client services to Agency clients. The PSR Associate provides Rehabilitative Mental Health (RMH) interventions designed to reduce psyhosocial dysfunction to include interpersonal cognitive, behavioral development and restore clients to their highest level of functioning. PSR Associates target psychological functioning within a variety of social settings. PSR Associates duties include any combination of interventions that may include behavior management, social competency, problem identification and resolution, effective communication, moral reasoning, identity and emotional intimacy, self-sufficiency, life goals, and sense of humor. The PSR Associate is a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA). A PSR is a Qualified Mental Health Associate under the Clinical Supervision of a QMHP and which meets the State of Nevada Medicaid requirements. The PSR Associate may possess the combination of education and experience that demonstrates the competency under clinical supervision to direct and provide professional therapeutic interventions within the scope of their practice and limits of their expertise; participate in treatment plan development and implementation, and coordinates treatment. The PSR Associate is a individual who possess the skills and abilities to work collaboratively with and under the Clinical Director and the Site Office Manager.

Site Office Manager and Clinical Director Duties and Responsibilities Provide Behavioral Management Training:
Clients learn the dynamic relationship between actions and consequences. Clients are taught and coached on how to manage their interpersonal, emotional, cognitive and behavioral responses to various situations and positively reflect anger, manage conflicts and express frustrations verbally.
Social Competency Training:
Clients learn interpersonal-social boundaries and gain confidence in their interpersonal-social skills.
Problem Identification and Resolution Skills Training:
Clients learn problem resolution techniques and gain confidence in their problem solving skills.
Effective Communication Skills Training:
Clients learn how to genuinely listen to make their personal, interpresonal, emotional and physical needs known.
Moral Reasoning Training:
Clients learn culturally relevant moral guidelines and judgment.
Indentity and Emotional Intimacy Training:
Clients learn personal and interpersonal acceptance. They learn healthy and appropriate strategies to become emotionally and interpersonally intimate with others.
Provide Self-sufficiency Skills Training:
Clients learn to build self-trust, self-confidence and/or self-reliance.
Life Goals Training:
Clients learn how to set and achieve observable specific, measurable, achievable, relalistic and time-limited life goals.
Sense of Humor:
Clients develop humorous perspectives regarding life's challenges. Documents Services and completes individual and group notes in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) within 24 hours. Confers with referring agencies, acting in the clients' best interest. Maintain professional and personal boundaries Work within scope of practice and competency as well as document clients' progress and interventions appropriately under approved CPTCodes and according to the requirements of State of Nevada Medicaid. Provide Parenting Skills Training Facilitate Discharge Plans Effectively provide verbal and written communications on behalf of the recipient to all stakeholders. Particpates in all required trainings and attend continuing education classes as required Attends staff meetings Other duties as assigned Education, Qualifications and Experience Pass FBI Criminal background check Pass any drug testing as required by the Agency Pscyhosocial Rehabilitation Services Associate which meets the State of Nevada Medicaid Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) requirements and meets the following documented qualifications: o Licensure as an RN in the State of Nevada or holds a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a human, social services or behavioral field with additional understanding of Mental Health treatment services and case file documentation requirements; or o Holds an Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a human, social services or behavioral field with additional understanding of Mental Health treatment services, and case file documentation and has four years of relevant professional experience of providing direct services to individuals with mental health disorders; or o An equivalent combination of eduction and experience that is approved by the State of Nevada Medicaid. o Education and Experience demonstrates the competency under clinical supervision to: Direct and provide professional therapeutic interventions within the scope of their practice and limits of their expertise; and Identify presenting problems(s); and Participate in treatment plan development and implementation; and Coordinate Treatment.
