IDEAL CANDIDATE LOOKING FOR A MOTIVATED, SENSITIVE, EMPATHETIC INDIVIDUAL EAGER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES WITHIN A CREATIVE AND DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENT
Essential Duties :
Within a group setting, works with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities to develop life skills both onsite and within the community. Responsible for creating group activities and assisting with lesson plans. Ensure job site and community field trips are safe for individuals. Ensure that all individuals are supervised at all times. Transport/escort individuals/clients on field trips within the community. Complete documentation related to services provided.   • Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Safety and Security
  • Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions ; Uses equipment and materials properly. Initiative
  • Asks for and offers help when needed; Shares hobbies and skills that could benefit and enrich the program.
Qualifications Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Motivated to work with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. Computer Skills Will be required to document services utilizing an online Electronic Health Records system (with training).
